Rules for 2008 Cash Raffle
to benefit the Chicago program
of Special Olympics Illinois

  1. The price of each raffle ticket is $20.00.  The purchase of a raffle ticket is not a tax-deductible contribution.  Payments may be made by check, money order or credit card (Discover, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express).  Checks and money orders should be made payable to Special Olympics Illinois, attached to a completed raffle ticket order form and mailed to Special Olympics Illinois,

1644 N. Honore Street, Chicago, IL.  60622.

  1. Five prizes each valued at $5,000 will be awarded.

 

  1. Purchasers of raffle tickets must be 18 years of age or older.
  1. Employees and immediate family members of Special Olympics Illinois are ineligible to participate.

 

  1. All chances of winning will be determined by the number of tickets sold.  A total of 2,500 tickets will be sold with each ticket having a 1-in-500 chance to win one of the five prizes.

If all 2,500 raffle tickets are not sold, the five prizes will be modified to each be one fifth of one half of the raffle earnings.

  1. The winning tickets will be selected by a random drawing on Friday, November 21 at 3:00 pm. in the office of Special Olympics Chicago:  1644 N. Honore Street, Suite 205, Chicago, IL.  60622.  Winners need not be present and will be notified by mail, email or telephone. 

 

All federal, state and local law and regulations apply.  Winner must pay all federal, state and local taxes.

Net proceeds will support programs of Special Olympics Illinois which benefit children and adults living in Chicago.
